About the Honor Squad

The Honor Squad is an online multi-gaming PC clan based in North America. We're dedicated to creating a fun, friendly environment that fosters long term membership and a family-like atmosphere. As the name implies, we strive to be first and foremost, honorable. This means we value words like integrity, honesty, selflessness, and respect. We enjoy teamwork, fellowship, loyalty and having fun, but not at the expense of others.

We are made up of gamers within the communities of the games we play, from all walks of life, who enjoy playing games online with others in a team environment. Our framework is centered around a military-like chain of command and while it's expected to be followed, we do not give orders or make members perform tasks that are unreasonable. Our chain of command is mostly for communication, providing direction during gameplay and making sure every member has a resource.

We strongly encourage friends and family members to join us as they represent the relationship we want to build between our members. We would be honored to have military service men and women as they are the caliber of people we want on our team.

Our atmosphere is one of competitive casualness. While we may compete in ladders and tournaments, we also play casually and simply enjoy hanging out. We may also have competitions within the Honor Squad between squads and sometimes within squads, but regardless the goal is always to have fun and better ourselves through the process. It's important to note that at no time are there requirements to play in competitions, but we require our members to have a strong desire to improve themselves.

Our squads are divisions of the clan that play together regularly in scrimmages, competitions and on public servers. These squads may be for different games or the same game. Each squad has a dedicated Squad Leader tasked with leading the squad and making sure it's members have the resources they need. Many times, these squads will scrimmage against other squads in the Honor Squad for practice as well.

--Is the Honor Squad a military realism clan?

No. We have ranks and squads and do expect that members observe and respect those ranks, but we aren't heavily into the military structure, nor do we have MPs or do virtual push-ups or the like. The ranks and leadership positions in the Honor Squad are for making sure someone is responsible to get things done, either through themselves or a subordinate member, and that others have someone to look to for leadership. Higher ranked players are also extremely important during competition and generally for keeping players in line.

--How long do I have to wait to become a member if I apply?

Usually it will take anywhere from 5-7 days to process your application. You can expect someone will add you to Steam, Origin or Xfire immediately to talk to you. If everything checks out, you'll go through a 30-day waiting period before you can wear our tag and become a full member. This is to protect the integrity of the Honor Squad and to make sure our members have a chance to meet you.

--How do I move up in rank?

The easiest way to move up in rank is to be consistent, work hard and take on responsibilities, but you can also be promoted based on time served. Keep in mind of course participation and contribution will allow to be promoted 5 times as fast as time served. You can find a list of the ranks here along with information on how to get promoted.

Sure, but you first have to make the rank of Specialist or better and you must gain the approval of the Commander.
